Bedford County Schools Announce New Food Pickup Time

Brady Lundt, MTN Reporter

April 18, 2020

Bedford County Schools announced a new food service schedule this week as part of its response to COVID-19. The pickups will now happen once a week on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Families will be able to receive five breakfast and five lunch meals a week per child. Each child needs to be present for pick-up to receive the meals.

Pickups will happen at the following elementary schools: Cascade, Community, Eakin, East Side, Learning Way and Southside Elementary.

The change in schedule will limit the amount of times families need to leave the home to prevent exposure to the virus.
