Registered voters started casting their ballots in Rutherford County on, October 16th, the first day of early voting.
Middle Tennessee News tracked early voting numbers and turnout throughout the period of early voting, which ended October 31st. We looked at the percentage of early voter turn out among the registered voters in Rutherford County.
There was a total of 115, 133 ballots casted early in Rutherford County. The highest turnout of early voters remains the first day, Oct. 16, with 10,701 people casting their ballots. The third day of early voting, Oct. 18, had the second highest turnout out with 10,078 people casting their ballots. The last day of the early voting period, Oct. 31, had the third highest turnout of registered voters, with 9,523 people casting their ballots.

Oct. 31
Early Voting ended on October 31st, with 115,133 of all registered voters in Rutherford County casting their ballots early
Nearly 51 percent of all county voters, voted early
Within the last few days of early voting, the turnout increased steadily
At the end of early voting, precinct 171, housing MTSU, had the lowest voter turnout with just 31 percent casting their ballots

Oct. 28
Friday’s early voting numbers spiked, but overall, the turnout continues to trickle down
There was a large spike of early voters on October 28th, compared to the weekend
There was 8,203 early voters in Rutherford County at the beginning of the last week of early voting
Precincts 171 and 181, including the MTSU and Patterson Park areas, still have the lowest turnout at 20 percent.

Oct. 23
To date, the first day of early voting, Oct. 16, had the highest turn out with 10,701 people
The lowest amount of registered voters was Saturday, Oct. 19, with 5,309 people voting early
So far 52, 627 people have voted early in Rutherford County, or roughly 23 percent of all county voters
