A flood watch is currently being issued to several counties in the Middle Tennessee area.
Heavy rainfall is expected over the duration of the warning with most counties seeing a minimum of three to five inches of rain.
The warning was sent out late Tuesday night and is expected to be in effect until Thursday evening.
The warning also informs people to be prepared for a flash flooding warning that could
be issued as the storm continues.

BEDFORD, CANNON, CLAY, COFFEE, CUMBERLAND, DAVIDSON, DEKALB, FENTRESS, GILES, GRUNDY, JACKSON, LAWRENCE, LEWIS, MACON, MARSHALL, MAURY, OVERTON, PICKETT, PUTNAM, RUTHERFORD, SMITH, SUMNER, TROUSDALE, VAN BUREN, WARREN, WAYNE, WHITE, WILLIAMSON AND WILSON.
