Wilson county schools have closed their doors through Feb. 3 due to multiple illnesses.
According to the school website, the board hopes this time will be used as a valuable period for students, teachers, and staff to overcome any illnesses.
The school board said, "A healthy and safe learning environment has been, and will always be, a top priority for our district. At this time, we feel that it is the responsible and appropriate course of action to take."
Seven other county schools have closed due to illness. This includes, Humphreys, Lincoln, Maury, Overton, Putnam, Robertson, Stewart counties. Tullahoma City schools are also closed.
Wilson county school will be back in session Feb. 4.
