MTSU celebrated six former student nominees in the Grammy awards this year.

Brandon Bell, an alum from MTSU’s Department of Recording Industry, is a multi-time winner and nominee in this year’s Grammys, where he was able to capture another award at the Crypto.com Arena.
Bell has been honored among the winners at the 67th annual Grammys for his work on “Billy Strings Live Vol. 1” by Billy Strings. The album won for Best Bluegrass Album.
Bell competed in the same category against a fellow alum Jaelee Roberts. Roberts is a singer-songwriter and first-time nominee in this year’s awards. Roberts was nominated as a part of the group Sister Sadie for their album “No Fear.”
Six total nominees and eight nominations came from MTSU alum at this year’s awards ceremony. This included singer-songwriter Jessi Alexander, who had two nominations, and Jason Hall, two nominations, Bobby Holland and Jimmy Mansfield.
MTSU alum brought home one Grammy award and numerous nominations, furthering the MTSU College of Media and Entertainment’s success.
