The last home football game for MTSU welcomes New Mexico State to Murfreesboro for Senior Day.
Senior Day is an opportunity for the University to celebrate its student athletes who have contributed to MTSU.
The Blue Raiders have struggled in head coach Derek Mason’s first year at the helm, taking over a program who finished 4-8 last season. However, there are growing pains in a new coach’s first season.
New Mexico State is also having a tough go at it this year as well, struggling to get momentum going.
MTSU goes into the game with a 2-4 conference record meanwhile New Mexico State comes Murfreesboro carrying a 1-5 conference record. Both teams will look to avoid finishing bottom of the conference.
This is a place Derek Mason will not want to be in with the team wanting to end the season strong.
Linebacker Parker Hughes says they want to play and win for their seniors to give them a good send off.
The game will be at Johnny “Red” Floyd Stadium on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
