This week, the city of Murfreesboro will be continuing efforts on several road projects, including the Middle Tennessee Widening Project, which includes Greenland Dr to E Main St. Residents of the city can expect lane closures Monday through Friday in relation to the project as median construction and traffic signal work will continue between E Main St and Greenland Dr.
E Lytle St will still be closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd; the section of E Lytle St between N Bilbro Ave and Middle Tennessee Blvd will only be open to local traffic, and Faulkinberry Dr is still closed at Middle Tennessee Blvd. According to the City of Murfreesboro, appropriate traffic controls are in place.
The city will also be making turn lane improvements which will affect Medical Center Pkwy at Warren St by adding a right turn lane. Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, eastbound traffic on Medical Center Pkwy will be reduced from two lanes to one lane. The city states that appropriate traffic controls will be in place and westbound traffic will not be affected.
Additionally, as part of private development, a new traffic signal will be installed on Medical Center Pkwy at Livy Dearing Pl just west of Thompson Ln.
