Reckless drivers beware. Rutherford county law enforcement will be launching operation Red-Light Runner beginning today from two to six pm.
Red Light Runners is busy intersections such as Old Fort Parkway, Cason Lane, and Memorial Boulevard can expect a hefty citation starting this afternoon. Last year there were almost 20 crashes at Old Fort Parkway and Memorial with more than half resulting in injury. Rutherford law enforcement hopes the initiative will reduce traffic incidents in the county.
