String Of car break ins in Murfreesboro

On Monday Feb. 9, almost 40 vehicles were broken into around Murfreesboro.

The break-ins resulted in the theft of five firearms and a pair of boots among other items. The thefts happened in multiple hotel and apartment parking lots off of Medical Center Pkwy.
The break in’s have left owners wondering how best to protect their vehicles. Some owners
comment about their plans to leave their doors unlocked with steering wheel locks while others plan for more robust precautions.
The break in, which occurred between 3 a.m and 5 a.m, made for an unwelcome surprise
Monday morning.
Murfreesboro police found two cars wrecked and running near the hotels with some of
the stolen items inside. All the victims agree, they hope police can find the perpetrators before they can hit any more cars.
