Murfreesboro, Tenn. - According to the Tennessee Business Barometer Survey by
MTSU’s College of Business, business leaders in Tennessee feel positive about the
state of the economy going into fall and winter.
The survey measures the perceptions of business leaders about how they feel about
the economy.
The newest statewide index measured a score of 476, which is up 33 since the spring
survey. The first survey in July 2015 measured a score of 325.
According to Assistant Director of Marketing and Director of the University’s Consumer
Research Michael Peasley, business leaders see improvement in business while
consumers in Tennessee don’t feel so positive.
He goes on to say business leaders feel good about the health of the economy.
