Blue Raiders men’s basketball have a tough couple of games ahead of them. MTSU will play UAB at home in the Murphy Center on Wednesday night, and will travel to the Bartow Arena in Birmingham, AL to play them again on Saturday, February 2nd.
UAB is currently tied for first place in Conference USA and is arguably the most talented team in the conference. MTSU, on the other hand, is sitting one game ahead of last place and have lost their last two games.
MT has yet to win a game on the road this season after dropping their first eight away games. They are above .500 at home this season, and are hopeful that they can get a win in at least one of these match-ups.
This is head coach Nick McDevitt’s first season at MT, and picking up a win against a top C-USA program will definitely build confidence for the team moving forward.
Junior Guard Antonio Green is the Blue Raiders’ leading scorer on the season, averaging 17.6 points per game. He will be looked to for scoring in the upcoming games against UAB, and will need to produce for MT to have a chance to pick up a win.
The first matchup will be held in the Murphy Center on Wednesday, January 30, at 6:30 PM. The Blue Raiders second matchup with UAB will be Saturday night in Birmingham at 7:00 PM.
