The Blue Raiders took care of business over the weekend picking up two wins over conference foe Liberty in their first home matches of the season.
After losing both matches to New Mexico State last weekend, MTSU looked to bounce back from the 0-2 start to conference play.
On Friday night it was all Blue Raiders as they took down the Flames in three sets by scores of 25-22, 25-23, and 25-20.
Liberty took the first set 27-25 on Saturday. However, the Blue Raiders responded by winning three consecutive sets 25-14, 25-17, and 25-22 to win the match in four sets.
Senior Taylor Eisert continued her success on the court tallying 73 assists for an average of 10.4 per set.
Sophomore Adri Rhoda led the way with 32 kills over the two matches, including a career-high 21 kills on Saturday.
With the victories, MTSU moves to a 2-2 record in conference play and a 10-5 overall record. Liberty falls to 7-7 on the season with a 0-2 start in their debut season as members of Conference-USA.
The Blue Raiders continue the season on the road as they travel to Miami for a two-day matchup against the Florida International Panthers.
